Ford Ranger 2018 Sid209 obd read and write with foxflash no issues. You can also do it in boot mode.
Follow these steps:

1). at first password via OBD no Problem
2). removing the ECU was hard work, many Cables and Plugs in this area, took about 1hour because this car also have a snow plow construction, I would also recommend to take the key out of the car (it was my first time) – therefore be sure, that the file is 100% OK -> stgfiles!
3). open the ECU, there is also a video on youtube how to open the ECU without damaging anything
4). connect the ECU according to instructions (set laboratory power supply to 13V), for that I bought a BDM frame with 4 pens via iecutool.eu, don’t have to solder anything
5). read and write without problems- be patient, writing takes about 8 minutes
6). Adblue off, EGR off, DPF off, Stage1 by stgfiles, checksum via foxflash
