Foxflash has a OTB adapter to read some ECUs via OBD on bench mode. You can also use the Godiag GT100 breakout box+ the GPT adapter to replace the OTB adapter.
We can use gt100 diag table + gpt addon as otb adapter.
For people seems to forget the reading part:
THIS IS PROOF OF CONCEPT. NO NEED FOR OTB ADAPTER IF YOU GOT GT100+GPT ADAPTER!
So practically all obd2 protocols are usable on bench too if you got right tools.
Run some more tests on obd protocols this way, so if you only got ecu and no car and protocol only supporting obd2 read/write you could use obd2 protocol but in bench.
So connected foxflash as obd to edc17c50, from foxflash obd to gt100 godiag table and there through gpt adapter to ecu as in obd2 bench connection.
All works, so ended up doing edc17c50 obd2 bench.
read VR ok,
write ok,
Checksum correction by foxflash,
Stage 2 remap, egr dpf off.
sort of proof of concept and more tests on obd2 protocols in future.
Ps. This is NOT ONLY for foxflash, many other tools usable in same way. Tested on couple original tools also and worked.
