As titled, will Foxflash do checksum correction automatically on Chrysler GPEC2 PCM?
User reported:
“It is a Gpec2a ECU from a 2016 Dodge Challenger. read it with foxflash just fine.
Instead of sending it out to foxflash team. The user decided to modify the file himself.
When I go to write it asks me for the original bin file that I pulled from that ECU and it does its automatic checksum correction voodoo and then it writes it and everything’s fine. However, when I go to make a modification to the file and I pull it in there without doing anything else, just modifying a couple of bytes it says check some correction will not be performed or will not perform checksum correction something like that and it asked me if I want to continue, which of course I don’t because I’m not going to write something with a non-corrected checksum onto the ECU.”
Here is the clue:
Foxflash cannot do checksum automatically on GPEC2, even DFBFox company they do manually, checksum algorithm on these ecus is not so simple.
Send original file to Foxflash team to unlock GPEC2 PCM.
